I think that this flowering shrub might be a variation of Philadelphus virginal, commonly known as mock orange, but I would be grateful for a definitive identification.photo of white blossom

Whatever these masses of little white flowers are they are certainly popular with the bumblebees. If you put your head in the middle of them you will vibrate with all of the busy buzzing. There do seem to be more tree bees, a non-native species, but for now the natives seem to also be out in force.
