Moonlit Crocus

Photo of crocus at nightI know a lot of you were worried about the frosty crocus, from a few posts back. After a moonlit bimble around the garden tonight, I am pleased to inform you that not only did it survive the frost, it has some friends too.

A whole swathe of crocuses fluttering in the wind, like little lilac ghosts shimmering in the moonlight.Photo of crocuses on lawn at night

Tonight’s moon by the way is a Waning Gibbous.

  1. Are those crocuses the ones that are plucked for their stamens to use in cooking?

Either way, that many flowers seems to indicate that Spring is definitely on the way.
