Full Worm Moon

The full moon on 23rd March 2016 was masked by cloud from my viewpoint, but it still provided a bright glow through the sky’s blanket.Photo of full moon in March

The March full moon is known as the Worm Moon. In the northern hemisphere the earth is warming up and the earthworms are reappearing, attracting the birds that feed upon them. It is also called the Sap Moon, as the tree sap is starting to rise. Normally each season (the time between an equinox and a solstice) has three full moons, but this season is going to have four.
