Regular readers may remember my exciting excursion into gardening when I made up an alpine trough.
Contrary to all expectations the plants are all still alive and actually seem to be thriving. Of course alpine plants do tend to thrive on neglect.
They have even been flowering.

Looking good! All my alpines in the containers have done fine but some of the ones I put in the ground seem to have succumbed. Will try again next year with more containers š
Perhaps our British soil is too soggy for them?
Possibly. I may have over-estimated the free draining nature of my garden!
