These lovely little dog violets are now sprouting up all over the lawn and paths. 
Why does everything here grow on the paths and not on the garden? Anyhoo, I waxed lyrical about them before, in Blue Bloomers, if you wish to read more.

One of the first things to appear in the front garden when we moved here just over three years ago – in the flowerbeds, thankfully! I know they can be regarded as a bit of a nuisance but they are such good ground cover and a nice bit of colour early in the spring.
